Nice...I was wondering why I didn't see Gage in the results. Maybe it's time to buy a Chevy! :p

:p I'd Rather push a Dodge than drive a chevy.

Chevy has only made one significant contribution to the world of speed, the 2 speed powerglide.
All of the cars that have gone over 300 mph are powered by "THE HEMI".
All drag boats that have broken the 200 mph second barrier are powered by, oh let me guess, "THE HEMI"
I could go on for days BLAH BLAH.
Well I guess Chevy dose have more manufactures titles in NASCAR with a Ford 9" rearend.

PS Eddie Hill in The Nucular Bannana was the first member of the 4 second club in the NHRA. He ran a 4.96 with a HEMI and a Ford 9" rearend at The Texas Motorplex near Dallas.
Shannon Steward in the The California Quack was the first member of the 200 mph club in the IHBA. He went 206.7 with a HEMI at Lakefest in Marble Falls, TX.
Hmmm there must be something about having a HEMI in Texas.

    lol:p;)

Now if I could figure out how to put a HEMI on a Strider the world would be right.

To be honest I'd rather drive a Toyota and never have to worry about it breaking down. :D

You could have a point since Toyota is the only American made car and truck now.

Funny since the NHRA has ran a manufacturers cup race, I see nothing but GM wins. I must say that my beloved OLDs owned the NHRA from the early 80s until the mid 90s when the dropped out of the NHRA support.

I could make a HUGE list of oldsmobile firsts...............just sayin.....;)

Well that’s a good point you have there about the NHRA Slow Stock (opps Pro Stock) even WJ drove a front wheel drive Olds most of the time. I lost interest in Slow Stock and NASCAR and was real disappointed in 80's when the rules changed and they started running the front wheel drive junk. I liked it before the rule change and you had to race what you build not a modified version (from all the manufactures) so NASCAR came up with The Craftsman Truck Series (in 85' which is still ran today but still handicapped so it won't get any bigger than the Cup which no longer runs for a cup, but that’s a hole different issue) and NHRA started Pro Stock Truck in the early 90's. To bad NHRA wouldn't let the truck take off and killed it quickly when it started growing in popularity. The trucks were the only real racing vehicles that ran for a long time that you could buy at the dealerships on Monday after they won on Sunday.

To bad we can't bump the World Championship closer to the Disney Cup so us outta towners could stay for that event as well.
